My friend volunteered to help the art park and ended up bringing home a love sign in need of renovation. The LOVEworks program is a state-wide branding initiative designed to promote travel in Virginia and strengthen awareness of the “Virginia is for Lovers” message. I had the idea to cut up my wood carvings and install them into the original sign. The sign is 8 ‘ tall by 16’ wide. Carvings included in the love sign from left to right: Salt Lake City, Wild Horse, Son of Man, The Blank Signature, Scissorhands and The Great Wave. There are also two of the small interactive pieces installed above Salt Lake City.
